Corbett resident, John H. Raymond died suddenly of a heart attack while on a job site in Beaverton on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was 47.
A viewing will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A private cremation will follow.
He was born, John Harvey Raymond on August 31, 1964 in Bakersfield, California to Ronald Raymond and Stacy (Kangles) Raymond. He was raised in Bakersfield where he received his elementary and high school education. After graduating from South High School in Bakersfield, he continued working as a cabinet maker. He later went to work at Seco Electric as a lineman until moving to Oregon in 1993. John made his home in Sandy and began his career as a truck driver with Mutual Materials – Empire Yard in Clackamas. In the late 2000’s, John moved to his 80 acre farm in Corbett where he made his permanent home and pursued his career.
John’s passions in life were caring for his daughter, taking care of his “farm” in Corbett and spending time with his friends. He was a loving man and was very devoted to his family. John also enjoyed his career as a truck driver and working with wood.
Surviving is his mother and step father, Stacy Raymond and Steve Neff of Boring; his father, Ronald Raymond of Bakersfield, California; his girlfriend, Katy Clark of Corbett; his daughter, Savannah Nicole Raymond; his brothers, Ronnie Raymond of Paso Robles, California and Richard Raymond of Bakersfield, California and his nieces and nephews.
