Obituary

John M. Purifoy was born in Dallas, Texas in September of 1956. John went home peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on February 25, 2018 at Legacy Mt. Hood Hospital in Gresham. 

John had attended Pine Tree high school in Longview, TX. Joined the Army in the early 70’s and honorably discharged in 1975.

John is survived by his wife Mary Purifoy and his son Sean Purifoy, daughter in law Dayanna and three grandchildren Destiny, Kaiden, and James Purifoy all living in Houston, TX. John is also survived by a younger brother Kenneth W. Purifoy in Rockport, TX with his wife Lauretta Purifoy.

John had a passion for life, traveling and adventure. John and his wife travelled around the U.S. enjoying all the great natural wonders, new and unfamiliar places and meeting wonderful people.

He was and is overwhelmingly loved and greatly missed.
