JoJanet Edison
Longtime Sandy resident, JoJanet Edison, age 83, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 surrounded by her family. JoJanet was born on March 16, 1937 in South Dakota. JoJanet devoted her life selflessly caring for others whether it be a family member or a friend. Those who had the privilege of knowing her called her “mom” or “grandma” not long after meeting her, and she proudly wore those titles like a badge of honor. JoJanet loved spending time at the beach, finding calm in watching the waves crash onto the shore. On Memorial Day every year, her husband would drive her to numerous cemeteries which would involve an entire day so that she could show her love and respect with bouquets of flowers for loved ones who had gone before her. In her younger years, she loved going to the mall, going shopping, having lunch and cooking big meals for her family. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her loving and caring heart for others.
Surviving is her husband Sig of 58 years, sons, Kevin and Doug; daughters; Brenda and Julie; grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Steven and Baillie; brother, Forest.
