Sandy resident Juanita Lorene Parker died at the Village in Portland Oregon on June 29th, 2011. She was 88 years old.
A memorial service will be held at the Sandy Senior Center 38348 Pioneer Blvd. Sandy, Oregon on July 30th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
She was born Juanita Lorene Holt on December 23, 1922 in Haskell, Oklahoma to George and Willa (Lee) Holt. She was raised in Oklahoma.
On December 24, 1940 she married James Grady Parker in Yuma, Arizona. They returned to Oklahoma where they farmed for a while before returning to Arizona where they began their family. They later moved to California where they farmed cotton until 1949. Several years later they moved to Oregon making their permanent home in Sandy.
Survivors include Juanita’s son, Larry Parker and wife Demaris of Camas Washington; sisters, Christine Ubanks of Portland, OR and Margie Ogletree of Madera, CA; 4 grandchildren Teri Tallman, Linda Tracy, Debbie Norman and Steven Parker; 9 great grandchildren;1 great great grandchild and
numerous nieces and nephews.
She was loved by many and will be in our hearts forever.
