KJ Brandon,
Former Sandy resident, KJ Brandon died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Gresham. He was 28.
KJ Brandon, was born on March 2, 1991 in White Rock, B.C., Canada. He was raised in Sandy and attended Barlow High School and graduated from Sandy High School. On September 9, 2014, he entered the U.S. Navy and served in the Persian Gulf as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Petty Officer on the USS Abraham Lincoln. On September 8, 2019, KJ was honorably discharged and had plans to re-enlist in the Air Force as a Combat Controller.
KJ was an avid golfer, he enjoyed football, snowboarding, skydiving, wake boarding, hiking, fishing and shooting. When he was a young boy, he loved chopping down trees with a small hatchet.
Surviving is his mom and step dad, Phil and Holly (Cuell) Schneider; brothers, Robert and Phillip; sisters, Jessica, Christina and Sophia; step brother, Ryan; step sisters, Nicole and Megan and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
