December 19th, 1947 - May 20th, 2022

Obituary

Kurtis Henry Kuiper was born December 19th, 1947, in Grand Rapids, MI. He spent most of his childhood and young adult life in Riverside, California, before moving to Oregon in the 70's. He passed away on May 20th, 2022, in Portland at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received several medals for his service, including the Bronze Star. He and his wife Kristine were married in 1979 and they raised a family together in Eagle Creek. He enjoyed classic cars and car shows, warm weather, and being outside whenever possible. Kurtis also enjoyed working on cars and passing down any knowledge about them that he could. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kristine, and their four children, Kiondra, Kellen, Kourtney (Patrick), and Karly. He is also survived by his sister, Hilda. He is greatly missed by all of us.

Kurtis will be buried in a private ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be a Celebration of Life following and everyone who knew and loved him is invited to attend. The Celebration of Life will occur on June 28th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the address

16201 S. Bradley Rd.

Oregon City, Or.
