Gresham resident Laurie Ann Lord died at her home on Tuesday June 22, 2010. She was 50.
A memorial service will be held at the Rockwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.
Laurie was born in Ashland, Oregon to William B. and Florence M. (Harper) Lefever on May 10, 1960. She spent the first five years of her childhood with her family in Palm Springs, CA until they moved to Sandy in 1965. She attended Hood View Grade School and graduated from Columbia Academy in 1978.
After graduation Laurie worked as a secretary for businesses in the Portland area. She married Larry Lord in 1980 and they started their family, but were later divorced. In 1984 she married John Hill. They also were later divorced.
Laurie was very creative and gifted in drama, art, and both writing and telling stories. She was best known for her singing ability and performed at many social events as well as church activities.
She is survived by her children; daughter Amber Lord of Bend;
sons, Brian Hill and Austin Lord of Gresham; parents William and Florence Lefever of Sandy; sister Becky Fabian of Sandy; and her brother William Lefever Jr. of Renton, WA. She was preceded in death by her sister Debbie Lefever in 2004.
