Boring resident, Leona Anabel Jones passed away at home on January 9, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born on June 22, 1921 to Frank and Mildred Edwards in Trout Creek, Montana. Leona was raised in Southern Oregon and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1939. She married her husband, George Jones the same year in Reno, Nevada.
Leona worked many places throughout her life, including WR Hicks, as a book keeper for the family business, and as a home maker. She lived and worked on the family farm since 1941.
Leona enjoyed gardening, hand crafted ceramics, knitting, and being very involved in church activities and mission circle. She also taught 4-H.
Leona is preceded in death by son Ron Jones, daughter Marlene Boyles, and husband George Jones.
She is survived by her son, Robert Jones (Diane), grandson Todd Jones (Cary), granddaughter Karrie Antonia (Shannon), granddaughter Lynnet Feuchtwanger (Bill), granddaughter Tami Dark (Calvin), granddaughter Tina Grassman (Kenny), granddaughter Cindy Heard (Dewy), granddaughter Lori Jones, granddaughter Chris Kafel (Jeff), grandson Bryan Findley, twelve great grandkids, seven great great grandkids, nephew Phil Jones (Molly) and niece Nancy Nichols.
Leona will be missed by her best friend Luella and everyone in the community.
