Lindsay Joyce (Jones) Carlson went home to heaven May 9th, 2020
Lindsay is survived by her children, Lucie (10), Jack (8), and their Dad, Bryce Carlson, her parents, Sharon Jones and David Leeth and Ken and Cathy Jones, siblings, Chris Allen, Jim (Angie) Leeth, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lindsay was born in Portland, OR August 24th, 1979. In 6th grade she moved to Sandy where she attended Cottrell Grade School and graduated from Sandy High School in 1997. She was involved in dance for most of her school years.
From an early age Lindsay loved the outdoors and spent many weekends camping with family at the beach. Traveling was in her heart and in 1989 she was fortunate enough to take a three-week trip to England with her Grandma Joyce and her Mom. It was a memorable trip and planted the seed for her love of travel. After high school, her adventures began when her and close friend, Kristall, moved to Flagstaff, AZ where she worked in a chiropractic office. A year later she moved to Colorado Springs, CO. These experiences opened a door to further her career in massage therapy. She had a passion to help others and found a job that gave her satisfaction. She attended The Oregon School of Massage and graduated with her LMT license. For the past 10 years she has worked for The Gresham Therapy Massage Center where she was loved and valued by her boss, co-workers, and clients.
Lindsay loved her children more than life itself and was actively involved in giving them experiences that they will never forget. Plans were constantly being made for a trip to the zoo, OMSI, hiking on Mt. Hood, a trip to the beach or some other outdoor activities. She wanted Lucie and Jack to love the things that she so loved herself.
A celebration of Life will be planned for this summer, date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, there will be a scholarship memorial fund for Lucie and Jack at Clackamas County Bank in Sandy.
Lindsay’s family is overwhelmed with the love, support and yes, hugs, we have received from family, friends and the community during this extremely difficult time. She will live in our hearts and minds forever!
LINDSAY, WE LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK!
