Lloyd Bell passed away at the age of 93 on Friday, July 5th at Aveena Memory Care in Damascus, OR. Lloyd was born February 26, 1926 in Hood River, OR to Jefferson and Florence Bell.
He joined the Navy in May 1944 at the age of 18. Aboard the USS Cecil, Lloyd trained in the Hawaiian Islands and prepared for the invasion of Iwo Jima, where he manned a Landing Craft.
Lloyd successfully owned and operated LB Bell Excavation for over 40 years, becoming well known throughout the Boring and Sandy area. As he was a strong Christian man, he relied heavily on his faith throughout his 93 years.
His family finds great peace knowing he is reunited with his son, Kurt, in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Bell, and his remaining two sons, Mark and Matt.
