Loretta Long Amstad Morris was born in Cameron, Texas on April 18, 1933. She was the youngest of 11 children born to Brady Bradford Long and Dora Hurt Long.
Loretta passed away on the 25th of April 2023, just one week after celebrating her 90th birthday.
In 1950 she married Adolph Amstad. After Adolph passed in 1995, she married Don Morris in 1997, who she spent the remainder of her years married to, until Alzheimer's claimed her independence.
Loretta spent her final 7 months living with her daughter and son-in-law in Montana.
Loretta moved to Oregon with her family in 1943, where she spent her childhood working in berry, vegetable fields and the Oregon Bulb Farm. She enjoyed singing, dancing, traveling, tole painting and gardening. Loretta loved to spend time with her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. She cherished her two daughters, 3 granddaughters, 5 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Her most special time was spent with Lila Leathers, her niece, and Bob Skipper, her nephew.
Loretta will be laid to rest next to her husband of 45 years, Adolph Amstad, during a private ceremony at Cliffside Cemetery.
