Lori Kathleen Elliott passed with family by her side after her 25-year battle with cancer on July 18, 2016 in Hillsboro, OR at the age of 54. She leaves behind her husband, William Elliott; her son, Christopher Hallberg; her daughters, Megan Levin and Pyper Rivera Moreno; and her 4 grandchildren, Justine Browning, Jacob Browning, Jennifer Hallberg, and Aliah Rivera Moreno.
Lori was born on February 18,1962 in Portland, OR, to father Edward Manley and mother Sylvian Storm. She grew up in a large, loving family with six brothers and four sisters. Lori is survived by her brothers, Larry, David, Mike, Pat and John Manley; her sisters, Debbie Deach and Dixie Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She preceded in death by her parents; her brother Richard Dale Manley; her sisters Barbara Heuer and Sharon Howard; and her miscarried daughter Sweet Pea.
Lori married William Elliott on December 18, 1987. Their passion for entrepreneurship helped them create successful businesses and enabled them to follow their dreams of traveling. With the vast amount of hours they spent driving across the United States they became in tune with one another to the point where Lori would frequently say that Will was the second half of her brain and vice versa.
Lori’s strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through a 25-year valiant fight with cancer. Yet even throughout her own struggle with cancer, she always offered others a helping hand, an ear to listen to or wisdom to share. She was so grateful for the time she was given and felt the abundance of life she was able to live.
Lori lived life in awe of God’s miracles and the beauty that surrounded her. She had a special place in her heart for butterflies and flowers which drove her to become a certified master gardener. Her smile, laughter, and positivity she brought to the world touched many lives. She lived everyday with the appreciation that it could be her last so she never took a moment for granted and cherished the relationships that she had.
Celebration of the life of Lori Elliott will be held on July 30th, 3 pm at 47700 SE Coalman Rd, Sandy, OR 97055 where all friends and family are welcome. Her ashes will be interred in the niche at the Cliffside Cemetery in Sandy, Oregon in the days following her celebration.
