Corbett resident, Lori Kay Lilly, 51 died as a result of breast cancer on June 23, 2010. She was 51.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Aims Community Church.
She was born, Lori Kay Query on December 11, 1958 in Portland to George L. and Jessie E. (Ranck) Query. She was raised and received her education in northeast Portland, graduating from Madison High School in 1976. Lori furthered her education and attended Mt. Hood Community College where she received her degree as a Paralegal.
Lori was united in marriage to Terry Lilly on November 18, 1989 and they started their family. They lived in Corbett where Lori balanced her life between her two children and her job. She worked at Black Helterline Law Firm for over 30 years as a Paralegal and Secretary. For the last 2 years, Lori has been employed at Eagle Bargain Outlet in Sandy.
Lori loved gardening, hiking, nature and animals. She was a member of Aims Community Church and participated in the Susan G. Komen, Race For The Cure for over 10 years.
Surviving is her son Tory Lilly of Sandy; her daughter, Josie Lilly of Gresham; her sisters, Rita Hemmerling and Lila Query both of Portland and her brother Monte Query of Portland. She is preceded in death by her husband Terry in 2000.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
