Longtime Portland resident, Lorraine McKenzie passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. She was 76.
A Funeral Service will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
She was born, Lorraine May LeClair to Ernest and Nettie (Olson) LeClair on June 7, 1936 in Sidney, Montana. She was raised and received her schooling in the Portland area.
In 1951, Lorraine was united in marriage to Ronald Hanson. They lived in Portland where they raised their family. They were later divorced.
In 1978, she was married to Arthur McKenzie. He preceded her in death in 2009.
Lorraine was an avid bowler and was actively involved on a bowling league in her younger years. She loved going to garage sales, enjoyed taking her daily walks, gardening in her yard, caring for her home and family and entertaining.
Surviving are her sons, Butch Hanson of Portland and Alan Hanson of Vancouver, Washington; his daughters, Linda Hagus of Anderson, California and Lori Hiatt of Portland; her step son, Gary McKenzie of Portland; her sister, Marie Webb of Portland; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
