Lyman W. “Bill” Coombs passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday June 7, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.
At Bill’s request a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Lyman Willard Coombs was born, one of 10 children, December 9, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mary Louise (Frost) and Wendel Howe Coombs.
Bill married Barbara Stinnett in Reno, Nevada in 1964. They made their permanent home in the Sandy area. Bill worked for several different companies over the years including Reynolds Aluminum, a couple of car dealerships and most recently Iseli’s Nursery. He was also self- employed at Paul’s Welding and owned B&B Emporium in Sandy with Barbara. Bill was a very talented man and could fix or build just about anything.
He is survived by his bride of nearly 49 years, Barbara; sons, Aaron and Jena of Reno, NV, Ron and Sue of Milwaukie, and Ryan of Portland as well as his three grandchildren Jade, Jamie and Michael.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Providence Hospice.
