In Loving Memory of longtime Boring resident, Madelin Wheeler who passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the age of 83.
A Celebration of life was held at Sandy Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2012. A private burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
She was born, Madelin Francine Strean on December 14, 1928 in Molalla, Oregon to Milton L. and Mary E. (Colebank) Strean. Madelin was raised and received her schooling in Molalla and graduated from Molalla High School.
Shortly after graduating, Madelin was united in marriage to Ellis Wheeler on June 12, 1948 in Colton. They moved to Boring where they lived on the family farm and began their family. Madelin was a homemaker, worked on the family farm and later for Barlow School District as a baker and cook until retiring.
Madelin loved caring for her grandchildren, baking, gardening and bowling.
Surviving is her son Darold Wheeler and wife Kim of Boring; her daughter Maureen Torres and husband Dan of Klamath Falls; her brother Darold Strean; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ellis in 1988.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mt. Hood Hospice.
