Marcelyn “Marcie” Louise Brandt was born to Harold and Violet Koller on March 11, 1932 in Port Washington, Wisconsin. She passed away peacefully at her home in Sandy on August 13, 2018. She was 86.
Marcie was originally from Little Kohler, Wisconsin and later retired in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
One of the things Marcie will be remembered for was her beautiful singing voice. She was raised with 4 brothers and sisters and they created a band called the 4 K's. She played saxophone, clarinet and sang. She was always involved in choir. She also dedicated a lot of time to her church volunteering in the women's ministry. Part of her joy was knitting little hats and mittens for children in need.
She will be missed sorely by her loving husband Jerome. She was a loving wife to him for 62 years. They liked to tell everyone they met that they never had a fight in all the years they were married and their best advice for a long lasting marriage was to always talk things out.
Marcie is preceded in death by her brothers Donald Koller and Terry Koller. She is survived by three children, Jean V. Foerster of Portland, Joni Anderson of Wisconsin and Christopher Brandt of Durham, North Carolina, sister Joanne Schmidt of Grafton, Wisconsin and by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
