Longtime Boring resident, Margaret Justice died at her home with her family at her side on Thursday, July 23, 2009. She was 86.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sandy Funeral Home. A private burial will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.
She was born, Margaret Thelma Webb on December 29, 1922 in Ironton, Ohio to Clifford and Mary (Webb) Webb. As a young child, the family moved to Michigan where she received her schooling. Due to her father’s career as a logger, the family moved from logging camp to logging camp throughout upper Michigan.
In 1941, Margaret was united in marriage to Milford Justice in Newberry, Michigan. They made their home in Newberry and began their family. Margaret and her family moved to Oregon in 1961, making their permanent home in Boring in the late 1960’s. After Milford’s death in 1987, Margaret remained in Boring near her family up until her death.
Margaret loved to garden, work in her yard, sewing, doing different types of crafts, fishing and camping. She was a past active member of Sandy Assembly of God Church and was a volunteer at the Sandy Senior Center.
Surviving are her children, Faith “Tootie” James of Salem, William Justice, Rosemary Justice and James Justice all of Boring; her sisters, Jane Stamper of Ten Mile, Oregon, Anna Milinich of Portland, Lona Waybrant of Eagle Creek, Violet BeBee of Boring and Martha Pierson of Orville, California; her brother, Clifford Webb of Portland; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
