Former Eagle Creek resident Marlene Lavonne Nevills, 80, died January 15, 2013.
A graveside service will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Sunday January 27, 2013 at 2PM.
Marlene was born August 11, 1932 in San Diego, California to Lillian Hester (Rodgers) and John F. Chambers. She was raised in the area and graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1951.
On February 6, 1954 Marlene married Leon Nevills in Yuma, Arizona. They made their home in San Diego and began their family. Marlene was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed raising their 3 sons. They remained in Southern California until 1980 when they moved to Eagle Creek. In 1995 Leon and Marlene moved to Wamic. Leon died in 2001.
Marlene loved outdoor activities, especially fishing and hunting.
Survivors include her 3 sons; Ken of Troutdale, Steve of Vancouver WA and John of Eugene; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
