In Loving Memory Of

Maryann Ellen Predmore

November 30th, 1939 - April 30th, 2022

Obituary

Maryann Ellen (Carr) Predmore of Sandy, OR passed away quietly after years of medical complications, on April 30th, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 82 years old.

Maryann was born to Joseph and Mary Carr on November 30, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She had one brother, Edward Carr.  She attended Halahann Catholic Girls School, where she graduated in 1958.  Maryann loved growing up in Philly and she had written many notes about the things she loved, like playing dodge ball and red rover in the alleyway.  But her favorite, by far, was the game of jacks, because she typically always won.  After high school, Maryann worked as a secretary for an insurance company near Philadelphia City Hall.  During lunch, she and her friends would hurry to the corner where they would get Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.

Maryann had 4 children from her first marriage, 3 of which were born in Philly and then after moving to Oregon, her fourth child was born.  After two cross-country moves, from east coast to west coast, the family finally settled in Sandy, Oregon.  Maryann loved shopping with her best friend, the late Kathy Weidman, and going to the Sandy Mountain Festival each year.  Later on, she also loved attending her grandkids’ games and school activities.

Maryann began working for the Oregon Trail School District in Sandy, during the fall of 1983.  She loved helping kids at Cedar Ridge Middle School develop their reading skills.  She retired after many years of faithful service to the students who attended Cedar Ridge.

On March 24th, 1984, Maryann married Daniel Predmore.  They were absolutely made for each other and loved each other dearly.  They lived a quiet but happy life.  When declining health required Maryann to reside in an assisted living facility, she and Daniel remained even more devoted to one another through this difficult time.

Maryann is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Predmore of Sandy, OR.  Four children, Glenn (Debbie) Izer of Springfield, Ohio, Lisa (Jeff) Thompson of Gresham, OR, Debbie (Steve) Hawkins of Sandy, OR and David (Elyse) Izer of Sandy, OR

Grandchildren include: Danielle Blaser, Sean Blaser, Maryann Rosenberry, Justin Izer, Suzanne Deardorff, Richard Rosenberry, Heather Izer, Kaymen Izer and Molly Izer; five nieces, one nephew and two great grandchildren.

The family wishes to Thank all those who loved and cared for Maryann during her last days.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sandy Public Library.
