Longtime Sandy resident and business owner, Mike Kaiser died at his home on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was 67.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday November 23, 2013 between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Rainbow Trout Farm.
Michael Dewayne Kaiser was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Benjamin and Ruth (Berthold) Kaiser on August 23, 1946. The family moved to Estacada when Mike was a young child then moved to Pleasant Valley where they built Kaiser’s Horse Stable. He attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School and graduated from Centennial High School in Gresham.
After high school Mike worked for VanLom Concrete for 14 years, during which time he met Marti Thompson and they married in 1975. He also worked for Alder Gold Exchange for a few years before purchasing Rainbow Trout Farm in Sandy in 1982.
He enjoyed having coffee with his friends in the mornings and buying new trucks at Suburban Ford.
Survivors include; his wife Marti Kaiser; son Dewayne Scott Kaiser of Mississippi; daughter Lisa Mae Fry of Sandy; son John Robert VanNoy of Sandy; brother Patrick Gary Kaiser of Gresham; sister Darlia Marie McAllister of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren Hayley Renee and Courtney Christine Kaiser, Alexandra Tayte and Zakkery Garitt Fry, Kyle Benjamin and Anna Nicole VanNoy; Great Grandchildren Olivia Jo Benjamin and Kendall Christine Kaiser.
