Sandy resident, Michael Ray Mishoe died on October 12, 2016. He was 67.
He was born in Rockingham, North Carolina to Gibbs and Eula Mishoe. In 1956, his family moved to Barstow, California when his father went to work with the school district. Michael went to John F. Kennedy High School and graduated in 1968. He furthered his education and attended Barstow Community College on a wrestling scholarship. In 1969, Michael’s father died so he withdrew from school to care for his mother.
He worked for Booeing International Services for 12 years in California and H & E Lumber Yard as a manager for 15 years. After moving to Oregon, he worked for Albertsons in their distribution center. After 14 years of service, he retired in 2004.
On June 30, 1989 Michael and Jennifer were married in Sandy.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and his best friend Marley. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys Football fan and was involved in his wife’s callings in the LDS Church.
Survivors include his wife Jennifer; his sons, Chris and Shaun Mishoe, his sister -in-law, Mary Thursby, his granddaughters Kaitlyn, Haleigh and Autumn; three nephews and four nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
