In Loving Memory Of

Nancy I. Noakes

March 31st, 1953 - December 30th, 2016

Obituary

On December 30th, 2016, the world lost an amazing woman, Nancy Noakes. She lived for 63
years, being the most selfless, strong, and caring mother to her four children: Trevor, Scott,
Chad, and Amy. She even became like a mother to her granddaughter Sayge when she took
custody of her back in 2004. She also had three other grandchildren: Nolan, Leah, and Emma
Lyric. Before her passing she revealed the gender of her soon to be grandson, River. She also
left behind her husband Bob Noakes, they were to celebrate 45 years of love on February 19th
this year. She was 18 and him 20 when they started their lives together back in 1972. Growing
up together in Roseville, California, they lived there until December 1989 when they moved their
four children to a raspberry farm in Sandy, Oregon. They lived in Sandy for 25 years, even
moving next door to Nancy’s mother, Irene, whom Nancy cared for up until she got dementia,
then she searched relentlessly until she found the perfect care home for her mother in Arizona,
where she remains happily to this day. In 2014, Nancy and her husband and granddaughter
Sayge, whom she had also been taking care of for the past 12 years, moved to Arizona, closer
to her mother. It was in November last year when they moved back to be close to their children
and their families, including their son in law, DJ, and their daughter-in-laws, Kianne and
Nateesh. Nancy worked as a dental assistant, and various other jobs; however what she was
most devoted to, and what she was most talented at, was her role as being a devoted mother
and wife. Nancy was creative and crafty, even making clothes for her own family. She always
made sure they were well fed, and proudly took the role as family photographer, which is
something her family will always cherish. She was the ultimate organizer, planning everything to
make sure everyone was happy and taken care of. She often wore the burdens so others didn't
have to. Even when she fell ill, and up to her last days, she was always putting her loved ones
first. She remains an inspiration to her family to always be as giving and loving as she was.
A Memorial Service will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sandy, Oregon on Saturday January 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Sandy Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

My deepest sympathy to Bob and family. Nancy is in Gods care now and what better care could we ask for Nancy. I pray for your comfort in the days to come and know that Nancy is surly watching over all you do. I have so many fond memories of Nancy in our teenage years. Those will be cherished forever.
