Pablo Ruiz Muñoz of Welches, Oregon, passed away peacefully in his sleep April 30th, 2023, at the age of 65.
Pablo was born April 10,1958, in Zacatecas, Mexico to his mother Maria Cruz and father Heraclio Ruiz. Pablo was the second oldest of 9 siblings. Growing up, Pablo had to mature quickly and help support his younger siblings, by chopping wood to sell to help make ends meet. In 1980, Pablo began a journey to Oregon, looking for a better life and opportunity to help his family. Not long after, he would return to Mexico to meet his love at first sight, Enedina. After a very short time they got married and had 6 children together in Oregon.
Pablo loved having a big family and though times were tough, he would work endless hours and multiple jobs just to provide for his children. His children remember that every night Pablo would come home with two pepperoni sticks and a Reese’s Pieces for them to share. Though it might not seem like much, that was Pablo’s way of showing his family affection.
He loved hosting, bringing everyone together to be able to cook and cater for his family. His devotion was extended to both his family and friends, and he was the type of man that would take his jacket off of his back for anyone.
He loved serving his community and making sure to share a smile with everyone.
Pablo enjoyed chopping wood, never forgetting where he once started. It was one of his few hobbies he enjoyed along with picking chanterelle mushrooms off Rhody, cooking, landscaping, and a little Texas Hold’em here and there.
Pablo is survived by his wife of 42 years Enedina, sons: Alex, Juan Pablo, David, and his daughters: Beatriz, Angelica, Erica and his 9 grandchildren. The traditions he once held with his children he then passed on to his grandchildren, who he adored.
Pablo’s passing was sudden and unexpected, and he will be dearly missed for his loving, giving, and charismatic personality.
He leaves endless memories for his family and life lessons they continue to reflect on.
“See you later Young fellas”- Pablo R.
