Pauline (Paula Angone) Rockway passed away with her loving family around her. She was 84 years old. Pauline was born November 22, 1934 to Thomas and Rose Angone and was raised by Frank and Celia Angone. She married Ron Rockway on June 6, 1953. They were together for 65 years. Ron and Pauline raised 4 children in Oak Lawn, Illinois where they attended St. Catherine of Alexandria parish.
Pauline moved from Oak Law, Illinois to Brightwood in 1971 where she and her family lived for 47 years. She had a day care in Brightwood for 5 years in the 1980s.
Pauline’s family includes Daniel, Teresa, Dennis (Angela), Cathy (George); 4 grandchildren, Adam (Sandra) Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Jack Rockway, Daniel (Wenping) Rockway; 3 great grandchildren, Henry Bear Rockway, Forrest Hunter Rockway, and Ryder Jack Rockway. She also leaves behind her sister, Marie Frazer, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Elinor Rockway, as well as many nieces and nephews. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents and sister Frances (Lon) Collins, brother Frank (Charlotte) Angone, brother Mickey (Delores) Angone, brother Tom Angone, sister Sis McDonald, brother-in-law Bill Rockway, and brother-in-law Raymond Frazer.
She was very proud of her children. Dan and Dennis are journeymen carpenters, Terri was with Providence Medical Systems for over 30 years, and Cathy was with the Oregon Trail School District for over 25 years working with challenged children. Paula was a great wife, mom, grandmother (nana), and great grandmother. She will be missed.
