Rhododendron resident, Becky Perry died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, November 25, 2016. She was 71.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sandy. The dedication of the grave will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the service.
She was born, Rebecca Jane Mishler to Donald and Evelyn (Kindig) Mishler on December 11, 1944 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. The family made their home in Indiana where they resided until Becky was 9 and they moved to Oregon. They made their home in the Gladstone area where she received her schooling. While attending West Linn High School, she met the love of her life, Dean. Shortly after graduating, she pursued her education at Oregon State University.
On June 12, 1964, she was united in marriage to Dean Perry. They made their home in Oak Grove, Oregon and began their family. Before making their permanent home in Rhododendron, they lived in Happy Valley and Damascus.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she worked in the family history center for over 20 years. She treasured her family and took great joy in watching her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting miniature figurines, knitting socks, making quilts and admiring wildlife. Becky touched the lives and blessed many and will be forever missed.
Surviving is her husband Dean; her sons, Nathan Perry and wife Kelly and Ben Perry and girlfriend, Tiffany Hanks; her daughters, Heidi Hardin and husband Tod, Jennifer Schrenk and Holly Kosderka and husband Mike; her sister, Debbie Schoenheinz; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Jeff and her sister, Judy Monismith.
