Obituary

Born October 20, 1961, to William & Anna Rodden, in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to Oregon, he attended grade school at Margaret Scott, until moving to Sandy. He finished his schooling in Sandy, graduating from Sandy Union High. Bob started his excavating career in high school. Establishing his own business in 1986. His talent for property improvement was undeniable.

August 1988, he married Laurie Forester, also of Sandy. They welcomed Bobby Jr. in August of 1989. Being a very strong family man, he adopted Michael & Tiffany in March of 1991. He provided an amazing life for his family.

Bob’s love for fishing and hunting entertained many people with the stories he had to share. He would only travel if there was a purpose of fishing or hunting. He enjoyed the company of many friends. He was the life of the party and bragged of being the last man standing.

A nine-month battle with cancer took him from family and friends on December 19th, 2021. His love, laughter and kindness will be terribly missed by all that knew him, especially his family.; His mom Annie, wife Laurie, children and daughter in-laws, grandchildren, and his siblings.

I just remembered a story about Bob. I grew up on the Sandy river right down by Revenue bridge. Like you said he liked to fish and he didn’t just catch fish as he also hooked I know one person who had died and I think he actually might have done it twice. So we came up with a new name for Bob. We started calling him the Fishing Mortician so that kind of stuck. Anyways nothing but great things to say about Bob and I also got to play football with him in school. Man we all had a lot of fun times in our youth. So I’m sure everyone who new him was better off having known him. I’ll look forward to seeing him in the new system. If you have any questions about the Bible you can e mail me or my wife Dianna Mai at diannamai@ymail.com. Thank you again for letting me tell a story about Bob. I also new Bill and John. Sorry again. Doug Mai
Bob was the kind of friend you always knew you could count on to go above and beyond. With his "get er done" attitude, wry smile, and twinkle in his eye Bob seemed like he could tackle any challenge and have a good story to tell when it was done. Though he was taken far too early, the world is a better place because he was here. Bob's spirit will live on in his family, and his many friends. Steve Rayne
Bob was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Such a tragic loss. Rest In Peace my friend. Mark & Dianne Herz
