Robert “Bob” Ernest Bell was born August 27, 1927. He graduated from Sandy High School in 1945 and soon after joined the Navy.
In 1947, Bob married the love of his life, Joy. They spent most of their 69 years in the Sandy area. Bob made a career with PGE and retired after 42 years. Before retiring, Bob and Joy enjoyed traveling to places like Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Wyoming and Missouri. They retired 18 years in Pine Hollow and 10 years in Arizona before returning to Sandy, 8 years ago.
He loved golfing and hunting. Bob was a great handyman and enjoyed helping family and friends with their home remodeling projects.
Bob is survived by his sons, Greg Bell and wife Joanne of Boring and Scott Bell and wife Marvel of Wamic; grandchildren, Dave and Lori Muck, Toby and Aimee Bell, Chad and Jill Bell, Robby and Carey Bell, Tyson and Heather Bell; great children, Annalise, Melanie, Marshall, Owen, Alexa, Natalie, Macy and Cailey. He had numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Doug; brother, Earl and wife, Joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations may be made to Mt. Hood Hospice and/or the Pine Hollow Fire Department.
