Roberta (Bobbi) Grace Wold, of Redmond, Oregon went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 7th at the Redmond St. Charles Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Bobbi was born to Thomas and Ida (Boller) Hardeman in Ventura CA on July 22, 1930. She spent her early years in Ventura, graduating from Ventura High School. She studied at Ventura Junior College before enrolling in LIFE Bible College (now LIFE Pacific College) in Los Angeles, CA, graduating in 1952. After marrying her College sweetheart, Arthur Kenneth (Ken) Wold in March of 1952, they entered Pastoral Ministry, pastoring for the next 40 years, churches in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, California, Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon. While in the Portland Oregon area, Bobbi served as President of United Foursquare Women for the Northwest District, traveling extensively throughout the District.

From her youth Bobbi had a passion to share the love and life of Jesus Christ with the world. In 1992 she and Ken were asked to move to Papua New Guinea, the “Land that Time Forgot”, and provide leadership as the Foursquare Mission transitioned into a National Church. During their five years in PNG, she taught in National Bible Colleges, spoke for women’s meetings and retreats, and traveled extensively throughout PNG with Ken teaching in conferences and providing leadership for pastors and wives.

In 1997 because of retirement requirements Bobbi and Ken returned to the U.S. but not being ready to retire, they were asked to serve as Missionary Representatives. Until her recent illness, Bobbi and Ken served overseas on short-term assignments, serving in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar and returning to PNG several times. While in the States, they travelled throughout the U.S. speaking in Churches, bringing news of Foursquare Mission’s global outreach.

Bobbi was an outstanding Bible Teacher, not only in speaking but especially by demonstrating through her life, the Living and written Word. She was a true worshipper, using her gifting as a pianist and organist to worship her King.

In addition to her great passion to know her Savior Jesus and do His will, she had a great passion for loving and serving her family: 7 Children; Donna and Tim Barger (Japan); Ken and Pam, (Little Rock, AR) Tim and Renee, (Woodland WA) Debbie Kennedy, (Sandy OR) Kathy and Bob Koch, (Lenwood CA) Teresa, (Gresham OR) and Denise and James Flaherty (Oregon City OR). Those magnificent 7 have presented her with 24 grandchildren; and they with their spouses have presented her with 25 Great-grandchildren.

Always energetic and tireless, she loved to cook, entertain, sew, (she made a beautiful life size “Ragedy Ann or Andy” type doll for each of her 24 Grandkids) , camping (even bow-hunted with Ken) learned to golf in her 40’s (she was good!) and ski in her 50’s.

Bobbi was truly a “Proverbs 31” and “Titus 2” woman and will be sorely missed by her devoted husband Ken, by her loving family, and by countless friends and acquaintances whose lives were touched and blessed by this humble Daughter of the King
