Sandy resident, Ronald Allen died at his home on Sunday, December 26, 2009. He was 76.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sandy Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
Ronald Clair Allen was born on October 5, 1933 in Portland to Carl and Marjorie (Adams) Allen. He was raised and received his schooling in Portland and graduated from Gresham High School.
On August 29, 1953 Ronald was united in marriage to Shirley M. Simpson in Portland. They made their home in Portland where Ron began his career as a salesman, working for Santry Tire Company. He later worked for Pierce Trailer, was co-owner of Toney’s House of Music, McAllister Machine and most recently, Janz Berryland where he worked up until his death.
Ron is survived by his daughters, Janet Allen of Ocean Park, Washington, Brenda Allen of Sandy and Julie and Chris Larsen of Gresham; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2001.
Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, getting together with “the guys” for his daily meetings and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
