Long time Sandy resident Roy LeDoux, 77, died at his home January 8, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Bluff Rd. at 10AM on Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Roy Emanuel LeDoux was born in Duluth, MN on June 22, 1935 to Bertha Maria (Carlson) and Lizom LeDoux. He had 6 brothers and two sisters. They were raised in Duluth and Anoka where Roy attended Anoka High School until he joined the Air Force in 1952.
Roy married Joyce Pettingill in Albuquerque, NM on April 5, 1967 where he and Joyce began their life together. Roy had a variety of interests and talents and eventually began his own carpet cleaning business. The family lived in various areas around the western United States until settling in Sandy in 1981.
Roy’s hobbies included woodworking, reading and he also loved to go shopping. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife Joyce; 3 sons, Roy LeDoux Jr. of Silverton, Roger LeDoux and Jody LeDoux of Gresham; his 4 daughters, Barbara Ashby of Fountain, CO, Rhonda Kolf of Las Vegas, NV, Brenda Trickel of Gresham and Janice Johnson of Sandy; brothers Ralph of McMinnville, Larry of TN, and Leslie of MN; sisters, Joyce and Darlene both of MN; 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
