Sandy resident, Russ Armstrong died on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the age of 86.
Private inurnment was at Willamette National Cemetery.
Russell B. Armstrong was born on June 9, 1922 in Comfrey, Minnesota to Lawrence and Hattie (Japs) Armstrong.
He served in the U.S Army Air Force from 1942 until 1946.
Russ spent his career employed with Northwest Natural Gas.
On May 7, 1983 Russell married Suzi Hustoft in Vancouver, Washington. They made their home in Sandy. Suzie preceded him in death in 2002.
Surviving is his nephew, Larry Armstrong of Benton, WA and his friend Orville Raudenbush of Sandy.
