In Loving Memory Of

Ryan Christofer Reyna

January 10th, 1990 - June 29th, 2018

Obituary

Ryan Christofer Reyna was born January 10, 1990 to Michelle and Robert Reyna in Spokane, WA.  Ryan was raised in Eugene, OR and attended Hillside Alternative Grade School, Kennedy Middle School and graduated from Churchill High School in Eugene, OR in 2008 where he played basketball, football, soccer, and track and field.  Ryan was also known for his lunch time music concerts at school of both cover music and originals.  Ryan was homecoming prince his freshman year of high school and was crowned homecoming king his senior year of high school.

After high school Ryan took a year off of school and moved with music equipment in tow and a packed car to Nashville, TN.  Eight months later Ryan moved back home to Eugene and decided to attend college.  During the fall of 2009, Ryan enrolled in Lane Community College and earned his Associate of Arts Transfer Degree.  In 2011, Ryan enrolled in University of Oregon and two terms short of a degree in Linguistics decided to move to Portland to pursue a career that would allow him to work in a variety of locations with many people (and hopefully outdoors).

In 2016, Ryan was accepted into the electrician apprenticeship program and was in his second year working in the program under local union I.B.E.W. Local 48.  Ryan formerly worked for Stoner Electric but was working with Dynaelectric at the time of his passing.

It was in Portland where Ryan met his soul mate and love of his life, Rachael Pearson, who had given his life new meaning and made him so happy.  Rachael, you and your family will forever be in our hearts.

Ryan whole heartedly and passionately loved God, family, friends, music and food.  Ryan dedicated years of his life to the study of Biblical Hebrew.

Ryan is survived by his parents Robert and Michelle Reyna, of Coquille, OR (formerly of Eugene, OR), his sister Ashley Reyna of Veneta, OR, his grandmothers Margret DImit of Sandy, OR and Ardith Johnson of Silverton, OR; his great grandmother Elayne Dimit of Springfield, OR; his aunts; Shawn Harrang of Redmond, OR; Shelley Swanson of Sequim, WA; Misty Poole of The Dalles, OR and Uncles Greg Dimit Jr. of Sandy, OR; and Chandelle Poole of Coquille, OR and cousins Druanne Moorman, Kyle Swanson, Summit Bohannan, Michael Brehaut Jr, Sterling Poole, Rachel Harrang, Lily Harrang, Emma Harrang, Logan Dimit, Renton Poole, Dauson Poole and Emerson Poole.

I am so sad because the world lost one of the good ones, someone who was selfless, giving and caring, someone who had his whole life to live, impacting so many lives in a positive way. In order to make sense of this tremendous tragedy, I can only vow to be more like Ryan. I miss you terribly but take comfort in knowing you are with God now. I love you Ryan. Shawn Harrang
