Sandy resident Steven James Marshall-Kountz died at his residence on January 11, 2017. He was 60.
Steven was born in Auburn, California on May 27, 1956 to Alice Louise Randall and James Richard Marshall. The family moved to Beavercreek, Oregon where he was raised by his mother and James Richard Kountz. He graduated from Colton High School in 1974.
Steven lived most of his adult life in Clackamas County. He worked as a longshoreman and a boiler maker at the Portland Shipyard. He was also a contractor and fisherman throughout Clackamas County.
Steven enjoyed fishing he also liked to golf and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his Brother Franklin Leroy Kountz, Sister Tina Amanda Kountz both of Portland, nephews Franklin James Kountz Jr., and Christopher James Hughes, nieces Gabrielle Amanda Lentz, and Angel Marie Miles.
There will be a gathering to celebrate Steve’s life in the near future and it will be announced on Facebook.
