She was born, Taylur Fressy Adell DeWolf on December 3, 1994 in Portland, Oregon to Harry and Grettel (Ortega) DeWolf. The family made their home in Sandy where Taylur was raised and received her schooling. She was currently enrolled at Estacada Early College, taking classes at Mt. Hood Community College.

Taylur was joyous and lively in her love for Jesus. She always tried to exhibit the grace and love of Christ in everything she did. Taylur was actively involved in the youth group at Sandy Assembly of God, supported missionary and outreach activities and sang on the praise and worship team. She had a great love and passion for her family. She was always up for a challenge and never hesitated to set high goals and strive to achieve them. She delighted in learning and was a very successful student. Taylor had a good sense of humor, a great smile and brought laughter to all. She enjoyed people, had many friends and always looked for the best in them. Taylur loved to crochet, upholding her abuelita’s (grandma’s) tradition. Her dedication for music was demonstrated by her singing, guitar playing, and flute performances. Keeping in contact with her family and friends on Facebook was a favorite pastime as well as photography, snowboarding, wind surfing, and longboard surfing.

Taylur was a Sandy Mountain Festival Princess in 2007 and was selected by her peers for the freshman class honor court at Damascus Christian School. At the young age of 15, she bought her first car for cash, a Mazda Miata, from her uncle Leif. Taylur was the state winner of the VFW Patriots Pen Essay Contest and won the Fuji Film National Photojournalist Contest “Homes for our Troops.” She served as Student Government Secretary at Mt. Hood Community College. She was captain of the cheerleading squad at Damascus Christian School, and was a devoted Girl Scout since the 2nd grade and well on her way to attaining the Gold Award.

Taylor touched countless lives, both young and old. She will be greatly missed by all and leaves behind a wonderful legacy, positively impacting lives in many ways. She truly lived a vibrant purposeful life that will continue to inspire her family and friends for years to come.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Sandy Assembly of God, P.O. Box 45, Sandy, Oregon 97055 and designated for “Taylur-Up” Youth Fund.
