Ted was born November 25, 1939 in Fairland, Indiana to Theodore K. Wilson and Lucille Hurd Wilson. He was the third of four siblings, George, Alice, Ted and Bob. He passed away July 24, 2015.
The family moved to Hanford, California in 1946 where Ted attended grade schools until 1953 when the family moved Lemoore, California. Ted discovered at a very young age that he liked to do things with his hands. He enrolled in every industrial arts class that he could and graduated from Lemoore High School in 1958.
Ted joined the Navy later in 1958 and spent his years as a mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1962. He moved to Los Angeles and worked in aviation shops until 1966. Ted started his career with United Airlines in 1966 at San Francisco as a mechanic for eight years and then moved into management positions until his retirement in 1996.
Ted married Sharon Annesley in 1966 and they had four children, Matthew, Randall, Mark and Colleen. They divorced in 1990.
Ted met the love of his life, Peggy, while at United Airlines in 1990 and they married in 1992. They moved to Sandy, Oregon in 1992 and bought 5 acres in the Cascade Mountain foothills which they promptly named “Paradise”. For the next 22 years, Ted and Peg slowly changed the property into their own private park and shared it with all the wild critters they dearly loved along with their special dogs, Motsy and Poncho.
Ted is survived by his; wife, Peggy; children, Matt, Randy, Mark and Colleen; Stepchildren, Sally, Dawn, Rachel and Melissa; siblings, Alice and George; 12 grandchildren and his special dogs, Motsy and Poncho.
With Ted’s love for animals, he wishes instead of flowers or such, donations be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
