Thomas “Duck” Dutkiewicz passed away at his home in Sandy, Oregon on Sunday February 06, 2011. He was 58.

Tom a.k.a. “Duck” was born in Niles, Michigan on December 18, 1952 to Betty and Stanley Dutkiewicz. He spent some of his youth in the Chicago suburbs before returning to Niles and graduating from Niles High School in 1971.
Duck moved to southern California in 1976. He was a construction laborer and foreman for over 22 years. Duck lived life on his own terms. His signature long hair and tie-dye style symbolized his free spirit, open heart, and peace-mindedness. A self professed Deadhead, he enjoyed music/concerts, cooking, and entertaining family and friends. Duck was a lifelong baseball fan, loved good movies, and classic cars. He also had quite a green thumb. Duck had an astute interest in current events and world affairs. His innate wisdom about life and people drew him many close friends.
In June of 1986 he met his longtime love and soul mate Amber Luck and in 2004 they moved to their dream home amid the majestic forest near Mt. Hood in Sandy, OR.
Duck is survived by his loving wife Amber (Luck) Dutkiewicz, daughters Amber Semrow and Christy Adams both of Orange County, CA, brothers Bob Dutkiewicz of Eau Claire, MI, and Joe Dutkiewicz of Niles, MI, and his four grandchildren Skylarr, Nathaniel, Amaya, and Aubrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Jim Dutkiewicz, and his infant son Thomas.
