June was born in Nebraska to Ralph and Viola Masten on June 4, 1929. Her family eventually moved to Gresham where she later met and married the love of her life Tommy Skipper on February 20, 1947. The Skippers committed their lives to serving God, spending 60+ years together as missionaries in several parts of the world, including Central America and Spain, before returning to the Gresham area in the 80’s.
June is survived by her husband Tommy, sister Celia Church, son Tim & Carolina Skipper, grandsons Timmy and Tommy, a large extended family and hundreds of dearest friends.
As a member of Damascus Community Church, she loved singing, studying the Bible and worship. She is cherished as a gentle, supportive and loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
The family requests contributions in June’s memory be made to Camino Global Mission.
