Vivian returned home to the Lord June 4, 2022, with her family by her side. She was 68 years old.
Vivian was born in Pennsylvania to Thomas and Geraldine Brotemarkle and was the only daughter of 5 children. She moved to California at the age of 4, where her father worked for Disneyland, and she found her love for Mickey Mouse. She continued this love throughout her entire life.
Vivian met her husband, Paul, in California, where they married November 7, 1970. They had two sons, Mark and Russell, and later moved to Sandy, Oregon in 1977. Paul and Vivian later adopted their daughter Kira.
Paul and Vivian established a relationship with the Lord at Sandy Baptist Church and Vivian spent her time as a Sunday school teacher, and an Awana teacher for many years. Vivian loved to sew and attend sewing classes, which later turned into a collection. Vivian found joy in teaching foreign exchange students, whom she called her “children”. This led to Vivian’s desire to travel and later visit her exchange students. She also traveled to Disney resorts around the world.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Paul, sons Mark, (Wendy) and Russell, (Heather), daughter Kira, (Adam), and 12 grandchildren.
Vivian has said, her greatest accomplishment is her children and grandchildren.
