Sandy resident William “Bill” Gallagher, 84, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
At his request no services will be held.
Bill was born June 26, 1929 in Evansten, Illinois to Hanna (Wilson) and James Gallagher. He grew up in the south side of Chicago and graduated with a BA from Elmherst College.
Bill worked as an industrial engineer and retired from Fluor Daniel Corporation in 1992. He was very active with the Oregon Trail School District Board of Directors and Youth Sports activities since residing in Sandy.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Jo Gallagher and grandson William DeBiccari. Bill’s wife of 65 years, Joanne, preceded him in death in February 2013.
